Slovenia / Sečovlje /  Wind Pump  The movement of water into various pans, may be accomplished by gravity and natural flow.  When that is not possible, a wind pump may be used.  The rotation of the "arms" in the wind causes a piston to move up and down in a cylinder.  The cylinder fills at the lower level of the less concentrated pan and empties at the higher level of the more concentrated pan.  Notice the museum staff, scraping the pans to harvest the salt crystals.
